About Where Geospatial Where Geospatial is a non-profit organization aimed at expanding knowledge and skills set in spatial science. The organization has a community of over 500 young professionals with diverse backgrounds across the globe seeking to solve everyday challenges with Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools. The organization seeks to create a global network of spatial science professionals by equipping them with tools and data sets that are readily available for research, projects and personal studies. The organization has also worked on a number of projects. Project Synopsis The Where Geospatial organization is pleased to announce its newest project of mapping cocoa farms in all the seven (7) cocoa regions (Eastern, Ashanti, Central, Western, Western North, Volta and) in Ghana under the Cocoa Aborabopa Mapping Project. The project seeks to map 7,827 cocoa farms in 30 days. Requirements In light of this, the organization is seeking to work with passionate individuals who have skill sets in GIS particularly mapping with diverse backgrounds in geography, earth science, agriculture, geomatic engineering etc. Candidates with experience in mapping and surveying are highly encourage to apply. Selection Candidates will be selected (i.e those that meets the necessary requirements) on a first come first serve basis. Selected candidates will be assigned to cocoa growing regions based on their choice and availability since accommodation is not yet secured, however, the candidate will be given an allowance to cater for food, transport and remuneration at the end of the project. Hence candidates are advised to choose regions they are familiar with (i.e. home regions). We also seek to provide a platform for all geospatial professionals to share their opinions on things that happens around us. Again, we share with all how GIS/Remote Sensing is and can be applied to various disciplines and professions. The Social Media Specialist is responsible for leading client’s approach to online engagement and social media strategy, channels and content, and implementing campaigns that create strong relationships with customers and achieve business goals.  
Responsibilities: The manager is expected to manage social media campaigns engagement for the organization and assigned clients. He/She should be able to:
  • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
  • Facilitate scaling brand and company awareness through various social media channels
  • Work with brand to create and implement social media strategies monthly
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology
  • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company, and ensure a positive customer service experience
  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn
  Requirement: Applicant must also be able to demonstrate:
